Ray Wang’s Guide to Sapphire Now 2011 – ASUG Annual Conference

Posted by: Ray Wang    Tags:  Ray Wang, SAP innovation, SAP Sapphire Now    Posted date:  April 25, 2011  |  No comment

Sapphire Now and ASUG Annual Conference 2011 is drawing nearer, and what better way to prepare for the event than to speak with a recognized SAP analyst, enterprise software industry expert and someone who’s attended at least nine Sapphire shows: Ray Wang.

Ray is currently a Principal Analyst and CEO at Constellation Research Group and is the author of the blog A Software Insider’s Point of View.

ASUGNews.com’s Thomas Wailgum recently caught up with Ray via Skype, and they talked about whether SAP can keep up the momentum from Sapphire Now 2010, the important themes for this year’s event, the implications of recent SAP executive departures, and Ray’s insider tips for getting the most value out of your time at the event.

R “Ray” Wang is a Principal Analyst and CEO at Constellation Research Group. He previously was a founding partner and research analyst for enterprise strategy at Altimeter Group and an analyst at Forrester Research. He is the author of the popular enterprise software blog A Software Insider’s Point of View, which provides insight into how disruptive technologies and new business models impact the enterprise. His background in emerging business and technology trends, enterprise apps strategy, technology selection and contract negotiations provides both clients and readers with the bridge between business leadership and technology adoption.
